Hello from Beat the Silence - it's great to have you on the Kultursommer Wien stage at the Nordwestbahnhof today!

This stage is equipped with an inductive hearing loop.

What does that mean?
  • An inductive hearing loop helps people who wear a hearing aid or a cochlear implant.

  • It ensures that the sound is sent directly to the hearing aid – without any background noise.

  • This allows people with hearing impairments to hear the music better and the narration more clearly.

Wherever you see this symbol, there is corresponding equipment available.

If you have a hearing aid, simply set it to the "T" setting (for T-coil) – and you're all set!

If you have trouble establishing a connection, please contact the Kultursommer team on site.

We're glad you're here – enjoy the concert!

Who is Beat the Silence?

Beat the Silence is a concert series that launched in Vienna in 2023. It makes live music accessible to everyone – including deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. International and local artists bring beats, folk, soul, and funk to the stage.

At Beat the Silence, we advocate for acoustic accessibility at concerts. Music is not only audible, but also visible and tangible – through sign language, vibrations, light shows, and more.

Beat the Silence is run on a voluntary basis by cultural managers Anna Blaskó and Mariann Grunenwald – together with a small team and many supporters.

If you're interested in our events, check out our website. We'll be posting our new concerts online soon: www.beat-the-silence.at

We provided the inductive hearing loop system for the Kultursommer Wienn 2025.

Many thanks to the Kultursommer Wien for their collaboration in breaking down barriers in the cultural sector!
