 Did you know? Concerts can also be a meaningful musical experience for hearing impaired folks, as demonstrated by Beat the Silence. The band Satuo featuring the vocal artist singer Laura Korhonen – Austria’s only professional singer with two cochlear implants – performs original alternative folk music.

They are accompanied by the two signing poets and dancers Lucia Rosenfeld and Franz Steinbrecher, who interpret the lyrics being sung into Austrian Sign Language and underscore them with dance. The performance is equipped with an inductive sound system to facilitate an inclusive musical experience for folks with and without the ability to hear!
